Mechanical and plumbing design for an adult female prison. The purpose of the Health Care Facility Improvement Program (HCFIP) projects is to remedy deficiencies in the health care components established by the California Correctional Health Care Services Program for the intermediate Institutions. The improvements were performed in the Primary Care Clinic, Support Care Unit and Central Health Services. This project includes the addition to the Central Health Services, renovation of existing buildings and infrastructure and ancillary improvements.

The mechanical systems include packaged rooftop heat pump air conditioning units, with exhaust fans to provide required ventilation.

Plumbing systems include domestic water distribution system to medical exam rooms, inmate security areas and health core plumbing fixtures. Also, there is domestic hot water generation through high efficiency fuel fired, tank type water heaters.
